Jingle bells....Jingle bells........Jingle all the way...........
Ain't that the tune we all are humming at this time of the year??? (Except for my friends in the southern hemisphere who'll be going "Spring is Here")
Well fellas.........Christmas is almost knocking on the door........& we can see festivities, joy, smiles & laughter all around! Also, you can see parties, fests, gigs, concerts & events happening at almost every other hip & happening destination in town.
Today, we had organised a fashion show for kids at our workplace, where they had to dress up like Barbie & walk the ramp. The kids were all decked up in their best party outfits (some even with little tiaras perched on their tiny heads) & come to take part. The li'l girls looked so cute as they sashayed (or rather awkwardly walked) down the ramp, tried to pose & then almost ran back into the wings.....They were all very nervous & at the same time excited about who was going to be the winner, but they were in for a surprise......coz we had prizes for all of them!!! Their faces lit up when each of them were called & handed the prizes........& that's when I realised that there's no such joy as the joy of bringing a smile to a face!
This, as they say, is the season of gifting........& what better thing to gift someone than a bright smile to light up the face, & maybe even a life??? I read an e-mail (one of those forwarded ones which we so often ignore) recently & one of the lines of that touching story that's still fresh in my mind is that "the angels are all busy this time of the year, so God sent us to help out"..........so don't you think that we all should help out in our small ways & at least gift a smile to faces we may never come across again!
I'm gonna try putting as many smiles on faces as I can, while another year draws to an end............I'll appreciate all of your help, coz every li'l bit matters!!!
On the fashion front, I've been to a lot of weddings & the office annual party recently, but unfortunately couldn't get the time to click snaps for an outfit post (Really wanted to, though!). So, am back with a regular outfit which I wore to office today.
My fav pick from my winter wardrobe is this new biker-inspired jacket...........it's chic, warm, comfy & super-stylish! This is my first attempt at a double-breasted style...& I think it quite suits me.......what do you say guys???
Also, note the background of the first pic..........can't you just feel the Christmas vibe grow on you?
Post lunch, I planned to drag my colleague outdoors for doing the shoot........but while doing a spot of shopping in the mall (had to get a gift to send a friend on her engagement), I came across this installation & then of course, I had to shoot there!!! Hence, my shades had to be tucked into my pockets instead of getting to be perched on my nose! Isn't this installation with wooden sticks just too interesting & awesome???

My leopard print scarf is back (re-discovered it from the back of my wardrobe some time back & fell in love with it all over again! See me taking it for it's first outing of the season here).....the pop of print creates an interesting twist in the otherwise solid color blocked ensemble. Also, no jewelery was called for except my copper colored hoops which are smart & very versatile.

P.S.: See my henna-ed hands & red nails......courtesy the numerous weddings I had to attend in the last few weeks! :))
My black ballerinas are being repeated quite often these days, but then, what to do? They are one of my most stylish, comfortable & sexy pairs.....& being black, are extremely versatile! So, whenever in doubt, or for that matter, in a hurry......I slip on these black beauties & am ready to rock!! :)

So guys..........let's spread the smiles............& celebrate the spirit of yuletide with lots of laughter & cheer!!!
A very very Merry Christmas to all of you out there!!!
Lots of love,
