A colorful affair...

"Colors must fit together like pieces in a puzzle or cogs in a wheel" ~ Hans Hofmann

And nothing can be truer or more apt for the color blocking trend that's cooking up a storm throughout the world this season! Colors that are put together in an outfit should somehow create a whole story together...........they should be such that the whole look will be incomplete without any one of those hues!!! The SS '11 shows on ramps around the world were beautiful puzzles created by the designers with the exact right pieces fitting in to make perfect pictures! And nowadays, we are seeing the more street style versions of those color stories in our favorite fashion blogs....... :)

I've always been very much of a "color" person............since childhood, I've shown an affinity for all bright hues & cheery shades........in fact, I've always preferred the rainbow to the zebra crossing! ;)

Throughout my school life & years of fashion college, my affair with all sorts of colors continued........& that is one relationship that I'm still going strong at! I'm one loyal lover when it comes to colors........& I like sporting my love for the bright hues with a an equally bright smile! :D

This outfit grew from my absolute want of flaunting my recently purchased neckpiece from Vero Moda. This neckpiece is an ultimate love-child of my obsessively passionate affair with colors...........the riot of multi-colored strands of beads was love at first sight...........& mine at second! :))

My harem pants (or zouaves, as these drop crotch versions are better known as) are my saviors for daytime outings during the hot & sultry summer. They are light, airy & so so comfy, at the same time, being ultra stylish!! (Not to mention, something you won't catch every other person flaunting on the streets)

I had picked up this pair of pants from Mumbai due to its colorful print............cute & colorful hearts scattered all over won me over instantly! I mostly pair this with a solid colored tee.........a bright red one this time.....along with my embroidered sandals........I feel so happy with all the colors on me!!! :)

See the cute print on my pants??? :))

My bold rings with faux stones & colorful stack of bangles perfectly complemented this beauty around my neck!

Aaaahh! A closer look at my love-child...........isn't it simply gorgeous? And the best part is that this can be worn with all sorts of things........& with all sorts of colors too! Can't wait to try it out with different outfits............be ready to see a lot more of it in posts to come!

P.S.: See the Peace sign studs on my ears!!
