So.....I've got NEWS for you guys!!!
My mom & one of her friends recently opened a store called ZENE in the heart of the city. It's a multi-designer outlet where one can find exclusive products of young & upcoming designers from all across the country.
There are Howrah Bridge & Sandeep Sarkar kurtas, salwar suits, sarees as well as Howrah Bridge & Crow tunics & dresses; Howrah Bridge neckpieces & brooches; Aarti Verma handpainted bags; Rohan Arora & Fetish shoes, Priya's home made candles, Treasure scarves & other knick-knacks.
So, you see, I've been all running around, helping them out set up the store, finalise on the designers (since I'm connected to fashion in general, I was the one who contacted all the designers, some of them being close friends too!), plan out the interiors, set up the stock, do the publicity & marketing, arrange for some of the press people to come & cover the inauguration.......you get the drift? Phew! It has been a hectic & super-busy couple of weeks, I tell you!!
The store was inaugurated by the young & dynamic footwear designer Rohan Arora (who's a dear friend) amid much pomp & excitement. People who have dropped in, have appreciated all the stuff so far............the store has set off on a good note.........hope it goes from good to better in times to come! :)
