Fashion Diaries - II

After a hiatus of more than 3 weeks, during which I spent a hectic but exciting Durga Puja and a more hectic & more exciting family holiday in Gujarat (more on both coming in following posts), I'm back to carry forward the fashion week series that had had a brief interval.

Day 2 at Lakme Fashion Week saw some seriously impressive sartorial action! :)
Some great shows, fun gossip sessions with friends who dropped by & some amazing style spotting made the day super-awesome! Oh!! And to add to that, I did a pretty spot of shopping that day at Colaba Causeway and hung out with friends by the seaside at Carter Road till the middle of the night!
*Nostalgia hits*

Some of the shows I attended:
Ken Ferns: Amazingly tailored, perfectly finished, celebrity showstoppers
Valliyan by Nitya Arora: Bold, statement jewellery, pieces of art
Karishma Shahani: Recycled chic, quaint, bohemian, fun

And then happened the show by my college buddy Sneha Arora. [Yes. That's the genius behind the bag I'm carrying in the last post]
What. A. Show.
The girl stunned one & all with her military inspired collection that was smart, chic, wearable & absolutely international in look & detailings. Her androgynous style & off-beat prints are to die-for! <3

Day 2 saw me layering up a storm of boho love! ^_^
Maxi dress. Knotted at hem.
Denim shirt worn as jacket.
A peek-a-boo of Aztec print leggings.
Jhola bag.
Messy bun hairdo.
Thong slippers.

My love for houndstooth checks matches my love for maxi dresses and when I found this, it was a match made in my dream heaven! <3

And needless to say, this denim shirt is quickly turning out to be the layering star of my wardrobe.

Houndstooth maxi dress:  BK Market, Kolkata
Denim shirt: Commercial Street, Bangalore
Aztec print leggings: Shoppers Stop
Spiked Layers Necklace: Latin Quarters
Gold cuff: Thrifted
Flower ring: ASOS.com
Rose gold watch: Tommy Hilfiger
Embroidered tote bag: Borrowed from friend
Thong sandals: Catwalk
