Whoever has read this blog long enough would know that I'm a sucker for statement jewelry.
But statement pieces have their own restrictive characteristics that make wearing them for everyday casual outings an outrageous idea! As it is, some of my eclectic-to-the-average-human-eye sartorial choices end up in making me the centre of attraction at many a public place; add to that the extremity of a statement accessory and I will certainly be the perfect victim of shameless stares and excited roadside gossip.
But when a certain piece of beauty made its way from the creative studio of a noteworthy brand into my closet, I knew it was time to flaunt statement jewelry outside the jazzed-up confines of an event or occasion.
Bangdar Sarali is a brand whose work I have been admiring since the past year or so. The whole idea of using fused glass beads with enchanting swirls of colors to make stunning pieces of jewelry makes this brand one-of-its-kind. Small wonder then, that this jewelry brand finds mention in almost all major fashion editorials and has some top-of-the-game Page 3 women as their clients. Started by two friends, this brand transforms their inspirations into beautiful colour stories that amalgamate into the glasses that fuse together to form their jewelry.
When Bangdar Sarali sent in a pair of earrings from their latest collection, I could all but drool all over the pretty thing!
I felt I had to do something different with these beauties than the regular outfit post - so, I thought, why not take them out with me for a day and show the world that such statement pieces can be worn for running errands too? :)
Started the day with some book-browsing and shopping...
Faced the maddening city traffic...
Gossiped, laughed, chilled, unwinded and hogged over some yummilicious red velvet cake at one of my favourite cafes...
And stopped to admire the newest love of my life whenever I got the chance!
